Ferocious predator

In 1992 I had the privilege to visit Mabula Game Lodge with my parents and grandfather. It is always a big thrill to see a lion this close, but to see it devouring its prey is one of those rare moments that leaves one in total awe, but horrified at the same time. These are mighty beasts – truly the king of the wild! This picture was taken by my late father, Piou Mulder, in Mabula Game Lodge in South Africa’s Limpopo province.
