Mr Mistoffelees

This lovely feline was photographed in the historical village Cordes-sur-Ciel in the Languedoc region in France. The town, dating back to 1222, is encircled by two fortification lines and the stone walls and numerous archways present excellent photo opportunities. The town can only be explored on foot, and on our way back to our car, I spotted the cat on a low wall, staring right at me. Unfortunately, as I prepared to take the picture, he looked away. The picture was taken on 20 July 2006.
