The Sentinel

Birds of Eden near Plettenberg Bay in South Africa is the world’s largest single structure free flight bird sanctuary, with its two hectare dome spanning over indigenous forest. It is a magical experienece with roughly 3000 birds representing more than 200 species.

Of course it presents wonderful photo opportunities. I spotted this little yellow bird by chance, high up in a tree, peeping from a small hole in the bark, quitely observing all the passers by. The picture was taken on 17 March 2006.
