Bird on a wire

This picture of a kingfisher was taken on 27 September 2008 on the gravel road along Verlorenvlei. When I spotted it, we stopped, but by the time I had the camera ready, it had flown away. As we drove further I spotted it again. This time I had the camera ready and managed to get a few shots. Thrilling experience.
