Sahara from the sky
In our summer months British Airways offer day flights direct from Cape Town to London. It is a wonderful opportunity to view the western regions of the African continent from the sky, if it is a clear day. The Orange river, Namib desert, thunderstorms over Angola, Kanu, the Niger river and of course the Sahara desert. This picture was taken on 9 December 2005, about 39000 feet above the Sahara desert. Perhaps one day I’ll have the opportunity to photograph it at ground level?!
