USS Theodore Roosevelt
The USS Theodore Roosevelt on a visit to Cape Town. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is anchored far out in Table Bay, hence all the super-zoom pictures doing the rounds. Capetonians were out in full force to get a glimpse of the “Big Stick”, as it is also known. I now understand why I saw a number of people almost steering their cars off De Waal Drive. They were driving where they were looking.
Picture taken on 5 October 2008.
