Red Tulips

This picture was taken on 22 April 2005 in the French skiing town of Bourg St. Maurice. The previous day it had been snowing and the whole area was covered in white. The following morning the sun was shining and a lot of the snow had melted away. We decided to explore the town on foot, and en-route these beautiful red tulips were basking in the sun. I was amazed that the delicate flowers survived the previous day’s snowfall.
