Stonehenge uncovered

This picture was taken on 16 December 2006 during my first ever visit to Stonehenge. Before then I’ve seen hundreds of pictures of it, and it was a thrill to visit it in person. Recent research suggests that it might have been a burial site for ancient British royals. Even if its original purpose is uncovered, for me it will always remain a symbol of something mystserious.
